WINTER PARK, FL—The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art continues its free summer family programs that explore the depth and breadth of the collection. This summer, discover how artwork was displayed at world’s fairs on the Tuesday Family Tour, and celebrate the beautiful Byzantine-inspired mosaics that adorn the Tiffany Chapel at the Friday Family Film.
The Museum’s summer offerings are designed for children in kindergarten through fifth grade and their parents or guardians. Space in these free family programs is limited, and reservations are required. Details are as follows:
- Tuesday Family Tours— This 40-minute gallery tour led by a Museum educator includes a take-home art activity on four Tuesdays: June 17 and 24, and July 8 and 15. The tour is available at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
- Friday Family Films—Enjoy a short film, gallery tour, and onsite art activity in this 90-minute program on four Fridays: June 20 and 27, and July 11 and 18. The program begins at 10 a.m.
All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A $5 refundable deposit per person is required when securing a reservation for either program. Call (407) 645-5311, extension 136, to make a reservation or request more information.
Summer hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Regular admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $1 for students, and children younger than 12 receive free admission and are always welcome with their parents or guardians.
