The 2027 vignette will be the first to focus on an essential, yet unexplored, aspect of the Museum’s collection, highlighting the remarkable artistry, technical mastery, and cultural importance of clothing from the 1920s. It also commemorates, one hundred years later, a uniquely Winter Park event—a garden party tea next to Lake Osceola, a gathering space for style and playful expressions of personal taste, hosted by scions of the town’s patron. Drawing from the Morse’s distinctive costume holdings, Party in the Garden invites visitors to consider the enduring power of fashion as an expression of identity, innovation, and exquisite craftsmanship.
