H. 14 3/4 in. (77-042)

This large ceramic vase is 14 3/4 inches tall and exudes presence in no short way. The c. 1904–14 piece is marked A-Coll, indicating that it was part of the artist’s collection. For Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848–1933), this meant that it was a work worthy of particular attention and was chosen personally, here from his Tiffany Furnaces Inc. (1902–20), by him to be exhibited at his Long Island estate, Laurelton Hall. This vase is on permanent view in the exhibition Louis Comfort Tiffany’s Laurelton Hall.⠀
