Located on South Orlando Avenue in Winter Park, Earle G. Ward Auto Parts was first incorporated in 1959. Earle Guffin Ward, the eponymous founder of the business, was a member of the well-known Ward family, instrumental in land development and civic affairs in the Winter Park area. Earle G. Ward’s father, Harold Anson Ward Sr., was mayor of Winter Park in the 1920s as well as a business associate of Charles Hosmer Morse, the real estate developer and philanthropist for whom the Museum is named. The Morse Museum acquired the neon sign in 2011 following the closure of the auto parts business.
