Circus Circus was an adult entertainment club originally opened in 1971 along Highway 17-92 in Seminole County. The club was owned by Gerald “Jerry” Uranick, who the Orlando Weekly described as “one of the [region’s] forefathers of the adult entertainment industry.” With its circus-themed lighting and decoration, Circus Circus operated for over forty years until the city announced plans to build an overpass through the club’s location. The neighboring Club Juana shuttered in 2006, but Circus Circus held out until 2011. At that time, the Uranicks gifted the club’s signature neon sign to the Morse Museum.
