Docent Training
Special Exhibition Training
Learn all about the season's new installations and exhibits with a special training session on Monday, October 19, with Museum curator Donna Climenhage. The session begins at at 9:45 a.m. in the McKean Pavilion
Docent Training Course
The eight-session docent course about artist Louis Comfort Tiffany, introduced this past winter, will be repeated in 2010 with various modifications and improvements.
Completion of the course is required for all docents-in-training and active touring docents, and attendance records are kept. No docents-in-training will be added to the tour schedule until they have attended all eight sessions. Active touring docents who attend all eight sessions will be given priority on the tour schedule; eventually, the tour schedule will only include those docents who have attended all classes. Given understandable conflicts for certain dates, two to three years is allowed for completion of the course. Each class session will run from 9:45 a.m. to noon Mondays, and of course, any interested volunteer is welcome.
