Fall Museum Reception

Preview of A Brilliant Setting—American Cut and Pressed Glass 1876-1917 and Recent Acquisitions—Studies by Lockwood De Forest.
St. Petersburg/Tampa Art Trip
Saturday, October 25
Day trip to the Museum of Fine Arts to view Ansel Adams and the American West and Beauty in Common Things—American Arts and Crafts Pottery from the Two Red Roses Foundation; and to the Graphicstudio at the University of South Florida.
Details: Price for the day’s outing will be $80, which includes bus transportation; admission fees; a light breakfast on the bus; lunch; and a snack on the way home.

Day trip to the Harn Museum of Art at the University of Florida to view Promises of Paradise—Staging Mid-Century Miami; and the Appleton Museum of Art to view a Winslow Homer exhibition of prints.

Lakeland Winter Film Series Trip
Friday, February 27
Day trip to Florida Southern College for tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright buildings on campus. The trip is a special event of the Winter Brown Bag Matinee Series on the Arts and Crafts movement.
Details: Cost for the trip is $60, which includes bus transportation; admission fees; and lunch at the historic Terrace Hotel in Lakeland.

Winter Museum Reception
Monday, February 16, 5:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.
Preview of The Virtues of Simplicity—Arts and Crafts from the Morse Collection.
The Morse sponsors quarterly luncheons as a way to bring members together in a social setting and also keep them up to date in an informal and more personal way than is sometimes possible through the Insider newsletter. The luncheons provide an opportunity for members to meet staff, view art objects, and receive exclusive updates on the Museum's plans.
The luncheons are held in the McKean Pavilion beginning at 11:45 a.m. on the following days:

Literary Discussion Group
Third Tuesday of the month, 3:00 p.m.
The Literary Discussion Group meets in the McKean Pavilion to talk about book selections that are available at the Winter Park Public Library. Several book selections this year tie into the fall and winter Brown Bag Matinee Series America's Wealthy during the Gilded Age and Arts and Crafts.
